Lab R&D Deburr Machine
This is a (no longer used) sample evaluation machine for removing burrs from the top and bottom faces of ferrous parts. This unit requires the operator to manually flip a part for a second pass. Part dimensional capacity is limited to 4” tall x 5” wide.
Machine Description:Extruded aluminum base with floor levelers. Continuous magnetic conveyor transfers parts in a linear action through a pair of counter-rotating overhead brushes. All slides are dovetail construction. Brush wear is monitored via motor amps sent to OSC 100 Fanuc Machine Controller. The operator controls all machine functions including adjusting for brush wear from this touch screen controller. The machine is fully guarded with (2) front access doors.
- Brush Wear Compensation System rapid traverse is transferred through a precision ball screw with a stepper motor control. Lubrication is grease.
- Magnetic conveyor traverse rate is 10-60” minimium via a 1HP motor and gearbox.
- Brush motors are variable speed at 3HP.
- Machine size approx. 40” x 50” x 66”
- Approx. weight is 1700 lbs.
