I am pleased to announce the appointment of Damian Clemons as Vice President of Engineering and Automation at The Malish Corporation, including both the Malish and Abtex businesses. This change reflects our commitment to merging engineering excellence with operational strategy. Over the course of the coming months, Damian will be working with Ken Shary to transition his engineering and new product development duties and leadership. Damian brings extensive experience and capability to this pivotal role, and we are excited to have him utilize his skillset across a larger part of the corporation. In his new position, Damian will report directly to the undersigned.
Damian’s primary responsibilities will include providing engineering support to both Sales and Production Operations, developing innovative new products, and maintaining strategic oversight of Automation Design at Abtex. His leadership will be instrumental in driving technical advancement and supporting our commitment to quality and innovation. Damian will work closely with all departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes and foster a culture of collaboration. His engagement across teams will support our core objectives and contribute to continued organizational success.
Damian will continue to be based in Dresden, NY, serving as our principal engineering leader for North America. His role will encompass oversight and support for engineering initiatives throughout the region. The China engineering team will continue to report to Yang, our General Manager of Dongguan Malish (DGM), ensuring focused leadership and continuity for our global engineering efforts. Damian will collaborate with and provide support to our Dongguan Engineering team as needed.
As mentioned above, over the course of the coming months, Ken Shary, Vice President of Global Operations, will transition his engineering and new product development duties to Damian, allowing Ken to concentrate more fully on high-level operational priorities. Jon Love, Engineering Director for Mentor, OH, will now report directly to Damian, further strengthening our engineering leadership structure and technical integration between Malish and Abtex.
